European Smart Communities Partnership
Torino Wireless is proposing a Partnership envisaged to strengthen participation and inter-regional collaboration in the implementation of technologic solutions for Smart, Secure and Inclusive Communities. By working together with European clusters and industry representatives, Regions, Cities, Citizens and other stakeholders, we aim to establish a strong collaborative network that can foster European growth, inclusion and competitiveness to improve the quality of life through more sustainable integrated solutions.
Smart, Secure and Inclusive Communities is one of the twelve Italian Smart Specialisations. Torino Wireless, as coordinator of the Italian Technology Cluster for Smart Communities, follows a strategy to foster and support the development and implementation of innovative models of social integration, intended to offer solutions to problems of urban and metropolitan scale regarding mobility, security and territorial monitoring, health and well-being, energy efficiency and environmental sustainability, education and training, cultural and tourism and governments, in accordance with the European Innovation Agenda. To this matter, we foster public-private partership cooperations within public administrations (cities, regions and government), universities and research centers, private institutions and companies. The Cluster SmartCommunitiesTech is present in different Italian Region through different partners, Torino Wireless is the coordinator and manager of the consortium and is located in the Piemonte region, other members of the consortium include the Distretto Tecnologico High Tech DHITECH from the Puglia region (in the south of Italy), ASTER and Lepida from the Emilia-Romagna region, Hub Innovazione Trentino from Trentino-Alto Adige, Cluster SCC from the Lombardy region, Lazio Innova, Fondazione per la ricerca e l'innovazione from Tuscany and SIIT from the Liguria region.
We are looking for Technology Clusters offering solutions related to Smart Cities and Smart Communities, located in regions/countries that have identify this area as a smart specialisation and a priority.
