Push-button timers fit for shower time
A push-button timer is a relatively simple technology for restricting the water flow of a shower to a designated length of time. Water stops running when the timer runs out, which prevents wastage. This reduces water utility bills and saves the environment.
How do they work? Push-button timers are a mechanical device (a pinhole within a diaphragm) that effectively closes the valve in the tap after around 30 seconds.
Result
These timers can save around 27 litres of water per shower. The devices have proven popular in public shower blocks, such as spas, pool areas, hostels and camp sites, which typically consume a lot of water.
