There are two instruments for the prevention, mitigation or remediation of environmental impacts generated by the exploration and extraction of unconventional hydrocarbons, one is the environmental criteria guide for the exploration and extraction of hydrocarbons contained in shales and the general administrative provisions that establish the guidelines on industrial safety, operational safety and protection of the environment to carry out exploration and extraction activities of hydrocarbons in unconventional deposits on land.
